Lee Frame 1989 - 2007
Lee Frame was born on 20th January
1989.
Beloved son to Bev and John, and
devoted brother to Kevin, Steven
and Samantha.In his short life
Lee achieved what most of us can
only dream of.He will be best
remembered for his extraordinary
accomplishments on the golf course
and his inspirational determination
for everything he did.
Golf was Lee's life.
Lee joined Donnington Valley Golf
Club at the age of nine and in
2003, aged just fourteen, Lee
completed a remarkable first,
second and third places in local
golf club championships at Newbury
Racecourse, Donnington Grove and
Donnington Valley respectively.
Two years later Lee entered the
championships once more, rose
to the challenge and triumphantly
became club champion of both Donnington
Valley and Newbury Racecourse
competing against experienced
golfers many years his senior.
Lee played with the three counties,
Berks, Bucks and Oxon and travelled
the length and breadth of England
playing in various national championships.He
had a promising career ahead of
him as a professional golfer and
the golfing community is a poorer
place for his loss.Lee slipped
away peacefully in the early hours
of Wednesday morning surrounded
by his family following a long
battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Lee did nothing by halves and
his illness was no exception.
From the outset the odds were
stacked against him but he never
once complained and was grateful
to have been the one who was ill
as opposed his brothers or sister.
Lee said he was the only one who
could handle such a life threatening
condition and he was right. He
had an age and maturity beyond
his years.Shortly before he passed
away Lee told his family he had
had everything he could have ever
dreamed of and that he was excited
to be moving on and to finally
be free. He also said that despite
his illness he would have never
wanted to be anyone other than
Lee Frame.
Lee, we miss you terribly.
Until we meet again.
Your brother, Kevin.
